Ah… Christmas is in the air! Magic and secrets abound! Santa, wishes, and sugarplums dance in children’s heads, and snow is on everyone’s mind.  Are you looking for a special way for you and your family to celebrate the Season? Pigeon Forge TN, with their fantastic Winterfest line up of season events, has just the thing for an early stocking stuffer gift:  tickets!  Many of the show theaters have special Christmas programs planned just for you.  Here are three to whet your holiday appetite!

First is Country Tonite’s “Smoky Mountain Christmas,” an inspirational holiday experience for the whole family.  Filled with the Smokies’ largest award-winning cast, the holiday magic starts the moment the curtains open and you feast your eyes on a winter wonderland! Children will be delighted and dazzled at the elaborate sets and costumes, novelty songs, and whimsical characters such as “Rudolph the Redneck Ranger.”  Adults will get a warm, cozy feeling when they hear cherished carols and favorite Christmas selections such as “Silver Bells” and “Winter Wonderland.”  Come see, hear, and be inspired with the magic of the season.  The show will continue through December, and end the year with a special New Year’s Eve Show and celebration.  Remember, you can choose a free Country Tonite show ticket with your winter vacation reservations at Bear Crossing, Cedar Lodge or Whispering Pines!

Annually Dollywood puts on a most fantastic Christmas production, including this year’s “Christmas on Ice.”  Amidst the fairyland setting of a million twinkling lights throughout her theme park, Dolly has magically turned her Celebrity Theater stage into a genuine ice rink for just for this occasion.  And she doesn’t have just any old ice skaters performing for you – no, the Ice Theater of New York’s top skaters, decked out in cheery holiday costumes, have been brought to the Smoky Mountains to dazzle and wow you.  With beauty and skill, their heart-stopping leaps and fantastic dance moves, ON ICE mind you, will make this family outing special and memorable.  There are singers in the mix, too.  You will hear many of your favorite songs that make Christmas – Christmas – warming you right down to your toes.  Dollywood’s “Christmas on Ice” runs through December 30.

And finally, no one delivers a Christmas show like the Grand Majestic Theater with their Hit Parade’s “Tis the Season” Christmas show. As the Grand Majestic Theater’s name suggests, there is an over-the-top display of lights, colorful sets, costumes, and inspiration performances.  Ten high-energy singers and dancers get you in the spirit of Christmas decade by decade, starting with the “Rock and Roll” 50’s all the way through the “Disco” era of the 70’s!  (Think Elvis Pressley’s Blue Christmas or Bing Crosby’s White Christmas.” )  Mixed in with plenty all-time gospel and Christmas favorites are many other number one songs that made the “Hit Parade” at the time.  You won’t be able to keep from singing along as they bring to life favorite oldies and goodies.   Included in the season ending show is a proud and dignified salute to the men and women of the Armed Forces.  Come take journey back in time to when music was music, and relive those old Christmas melodies that make you feel young again at the Grand Majestic!
